Jessica A. Schuler, Program Coordinator of Natural Resources for the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation.
Jessica is responsible for the 234 acres of gardens, arboretum, conservatory, and forest preserve at Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial and part of the conservation team that manages natural resources across the 18,000 acres of Westchester County Parkland.
Formerly, Director of the Thain Family Forest at The New York Botanical Garden, where she managed the 50 acre, old growth urban forest including ecological restoration and the development of education and research programs. Jessica is a horticulturist and ecological restoration practitioner advocating for native plant conservation and sustainable gardening. Jessica earned a BS in Plant Science with Distinction in Research from Cornell University, is an ISA-certified arborist and Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner with the Society for Ecological Restoration.
